On construction sites 1 to 3, state-of-the-art laboratory units meet a technical training academy and specialized medical specialists as well as other flexible office and commercial spaces. Creative new work studios, roof gardens and a food court create a special identity and promote community. The campus will open up to the residential area opposite and be a driver for modern workplaces at the Barmbek site. The newly sealed areas will be compensated as much as possible by a dense green zone, intensive green roofs and green facades on the west side. With CO² neutrality in operation, CO² reduced construction and the use of low-pollutant and healthy building materials, we have set ourselves ambitious sustainability goals. The overall building construction is planned as a timber hybrid construction. The structural concrete components are designed with statically reduced load-bearing systems. We are aiming for at least a DGNB certification in the Gold standard.
